Dear Webmaster
As Vice Chairman of a Danish Wine Club I have a Question You might be able to help me with. Chateau Giscours was on trial in 1998 for
1) Having blended wine from outside Margaux in their own.
2) Blended different vintages together.
3) Used excess sugar in the fermentation of the wine.
4) Used wood chips in their barrels. (source: Robert M. Parker 1998, Bordeaux.)
The Chateau admitted having used these methods on their second wine, but not their Grand Wine. What was the outcome of the trial against Ch. Giscours. I can read French without problems. I shall in a short time conduct a tasting and information seminar about Ch. Giscours, so I will be very grateful if someone could help me with some answers.
Yours truly Finn Nielsen.
